The Village began developing a comprehensive plan in 2009. What is a comprehensive plan? A comprehensive plan is a land use document that provides the framework and policy direction for land use decisions and future development. Components of a comprehensive plan include issues and opportunities; land use; housing; transportation; economic development; agricultural, natural and cultural resources; intergovernmental cooperation and implementation.
Public involvement is important to the development of a comprehensive plan. Public involvement encourages residents and property owners to participate in identifying a vision of the future for the Village including goals, values and potential issues.
