Village of Hales Corners, Wisconsin

Veteran's Memorial

The Veterans Memorial dedication ceremony took place on Sunday, May 27, 2012.  Hales Corners American Legion Post 299 along with Mitchell McGlinn, from Troop 598 were instrumental in the development of the Village's first  Veterans Memorial.  It consists of five pre-cast pillars, which equally represent each military branch.  Measuring 9 feet wide at the base and 9 inches wide at the top, they form a five-pointed star surrounding a lighted American flag.

The entire memorial is set in a 50-foot-square plaza.  Bricks are available for purchase to those who wish to memorialize or honor their loved ones who have served.  The memorial is open to anyone, even those outside Hales Corners who want to participate and show respect for our veterans.

For information on purchasing a brick or making a donation, contact Co-chairs Howard Hingiss 425-5276 or Mitchell McGlinn 232-5244 or Village Liaison, Don Schwartz 418-8299.

The memorial is located at Hales Corners Park near 116th Street and New Berlin Road between the Hales Corners Library and new basketball courts.
